Laurie Brent Schiavone, CFP®
Senior Financial Advisor, CEO
Laurie’s journey in financial services began with a strong academic foundation in Economics and Statistics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Over the past three decades, she has become a trusted advisor to individuals and families across more than 35 states, known not only for her expertise, but for the genuine care and personal attention she brings to every relationship.
Laurie built her practice alongside her beloved father, Pete, whose values, integrity, and dedication to clients continue to shape the heart of the firm today. Although Pete has since passed away, his legacy lives on through the relationships they built together, and the client-first philosophy Laurie carries forward. She now oversees every aspect of the practice with a dedicated team and a thoughtful, hands-on approach. Laurie holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network, maintains comprehensive life insurance licenses, and has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation—reflecting her deep commitment to excellence and lifelong learning.
Laurie lives in Poughkeepsie, New York with her husband, Frank. Together, they raised four sons—Maxwell, Garrett, Jacob and Nathan—who are now pursuing their own independent paths. Continuing the family tradition, Jake has joined the firm and has been working in the office for the past year, actively pursuing a career as a financial advisor. Family has always been central to Laurie’s values, shaping both her life and the way she serves others.
That same spirit of care and responsibility extends beyond the office walls. An important part of the practice is its commitment to supporting local organizations through community fundraising initiatives. Laurie and her team regularly participate in and attend fundraising galas, standing alongside the organizations they support. These events are more than charitable efforts—they reflect the firm’s belief that meaningful success includes showing up for the communities it serves.
This philosophy also inspired Laurie to establish Jane’s Grace, a ministry born from her volunteer experiences at a local domestic violence shelter. Through this work, she supports grassroots organizations serving individuals and families in need, guided by her belief that a meaningful life is one that lifts others along the way.
Outside of work, Laurie embraces creativity, curiosity, and connection. She enjoys traveling to experience new cultures, practicing daily yoga, capturing the world through photography, reading, savoring a good glass of wine with a great meal and any time on the beach. Her office reflects these passions, with walls adorned by photographs from her travels around the globe. Italy holds a special place in her heart and has inspired her current pursuit of learning the Italian language.
At the core of Laurie’s professional philosophy is a deep commitment to the wellbeing of her clients and her team. She approaches every relationship with warmth, empathy, and intention, helping families build financial foundations designed to support them for generations. Actively involved in her church and community, Laurie strives to live a balanced and purposeful life—one rooted in service, connection, and lasting impact.
